Someone has just unrolled an old map across the desk and laid out everything needed for the voyage. The brass telescope is pulled out to full length, the sundial compass sits ready on its stand, and a pocket watch on its chain shows the hour of departure. A magnifying glass hovers over a tiny galleon on the chart, as if the captain is checking the route one last time.
Where will the ship be heading? It's all glowing amber, aged parchment and polished brass, like a lamp-lit study late in the evening.
The whole image is dominated by warm amber and brown tones, and the map lettering and brass surfaces look very similar to one another, so there are few strong colour clues.
