Floral Peacock by David Galchutt – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

David Galchutt's peacock stands in deep indigo, crest up and one black-and-white barred wing folded at its side, and then the tail turns into flowers: zinnias, ranunculus and dahlias in turquoise, cream, lilac and coral, threaded through with green eye feathers. Three pale butterflies drift around it, against a tan panel hung with peach chrysanthemums, blue hydrangeas and brown fern fronds.

The lower half is blue-green flower on blue-green flower, and that is where the hours go; the bird's dark body and the tan panel behind are the quick sections. Finished size 63.5 x 50.8cm.
