A roaring tiger sliced into bands and pulled apart, green leaves and blue hydrangea florets spilling out of the gaps, with a wicker birdcage balanced on top and a small bird perched beside it. David Krovblit sets the collage on turquoise inside a deep plum ring, then frames the lot in pink cherry blossom, coral berries and teal leaves, with a rainbow lorikeet in each bottom corner.
The tiger and the plum ring are easy anchors; the blossom border repeats the same few pinks the whole way round and is the slow part. Finished size 63.5 x 63.5cm.
Busy floral border provides good detail variety, while the central tiger face and contrasting colour zones give clear reference points.
