1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle by Rex Ray (Pomegranate)

Teardrops, lozenges and pointed spindles in orange, magenta, teal and coral hang on fine strings of dots across a deep navy ground, with a white and orange butterfly and a coral fern frond among them and pale amoeba shapes drifting behind. Rex Ray cut his collages by hand in San Francisco, and the result sits somewhere between a mid-century mobile and a box of Christmas baubles.

A long panorama with a lot of navy between the shapes, so sort by the coloured forms and leave the dark ground until last. Finished size 81.2 x 40.6cm.
