Dragon of the Yangtze by Heidi Taillefer – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

A Chinese dragon rears up out of peacock feathers, blue-scaled plating, red silk tassels and machine parts, its green spined tail curling down into stylised white waves. Heidi Taillefer packs the rest in around it — a horse's head, cranes, a persimmon tree, a rooster, a red seal stamped down the right edge.

Detail everywhere and almost no flat colour, which makes it slow going but rarely stuck. Finished size 68.5 x 50.8cm.
