Black Cat in New York Window

A black cat sits with its back to you on a red flower-print chair, watching a pastel New York skyline through the window. Gold curtains frame it; a teal side table holds strawberries in a bowl and roses in a jug, a bookcase stacks red and blue spines, a green ball of wool has rolled onto the floor and a record turns on a player at the bottom edge.

The skyline's tiled windows repeat in near-identical blues and pinks, which is where the hours go: the cat and the chair are in place long before. Finished size 50.8 x 68.6cm.
