A Clowder of Cats

Fifteen cats, each named by breed in copperplate script. A tortoiseshell on the windowsill beside a geranium, a black cat draped over an embroidery frame, a ginger asleep in the sun, and a white cat curled up in the fruit bowl among the grapes. Siamese, Maine Coon, Persian, British Blue and a tuxedo cat in the bleeding hearts.

Every cat sits on open pale background, so the fur markings do the work and the empty space is the challenge. Large pieces throughout. Finished size 69 x 48cm.
