Quilt by Grant Leier – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Grant Leier patches together blocks of scroll, stripe and spiral pattern, then lays silhouetted animals across them: pale blue birds in flight, a red bird, a green elephant, a pink giraffe, a yellow horse. At the centre stands a tall red-and-gold vase of magnolia branches, with white blossom scattered over the top edge.

The animals give you something to build out from; the patterned patches behind them change every few inches and rarely repeat. Finished size 63.5 x 63.5cm.
