Sunflower Quilting Bee at Arles by Faith Ringgold – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Eight women stand shoulder to shoulder in a sunflower field, holding up a quilt of yellow sunflowers on black with their names inked along its red border — Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, Rosa Parks and Ida Wells among them. Van Gogh stands at the right in a blue shirt with sunflowers in his arms, and a ninth figure in white sits at the lower left. Faith Ringgold painted this version in 1996.

Faces and clothes give you plenty to work from; the field behind repeats the same yellow petals and brown centres over and over. Finished size 68.5 x 50.8cm.
