1889 by Vincent van Gogh – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Dtoys)

It is night on the riverbank and the town on the far side has its gas lamps lit, every one of them dropping a long yellow reflection down into the black water. Above it all van Gogh has laid the stars on thick, great haloed things swimming in a sky worked over in twenty kinds of blue.

Down at the front a couple have come out arm in arm to look at it, with the boats pulled up on the shingle beside them.
