The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

The sky rolls over the village in thick blue and white spirals, eleven stars burning yellow, a gold moon at the top right and a dark cypress rising the full height of the left side. Van Gogh painted it in 1889 from a window at the asylum in Saint-Rémy, adding the church spire and huddled roofs from memory.

It is all brushstroke and swirl, so the direction of the strokes places pieces more often than the colour does. Finished size 63.5 x 50.8cm.
