Sunflowers, daisies and coneflowers stand taller than the trees, and beneath them dozens of small dogs cross a green park: a dalmatian, terriers, a poodle, black scotties, a beagle. L. C. Armstrong sets the lot against a city skyline under a pink and blue sunset, playing with scale so the flowers loom and the dogs stay tiny.
A wide format with a long stretch of flat lawn through the middle: the dogs give you something to aim at, the grass does not. Finished size 81.2 x 40.6cm.
