Country Truck in Summer

The same blue pickup returns loaded for high summer: sunflowers, pink gerberas, hydrangeas and cornflowers spilling out of the back around a picnic basket. Four puppies have climbed aboard, one waving its paws over the cab, while butterflies drift past a picket fence, a goldfinch perches on the bunting and a bluebird box hangs in the leaves.

The bold summer flowers and the puppies are quick wins; the leafy border and blue sky take a little longer. Finished size 69 x 49cm.
