The circular design splits Stonehenge into four quarters — spring with lambs and wildflowers, summer with the solstice sun blazing through the stones, autumn with a fox and migrating birds, and winter dropping into a moonlit, star-reflected sea. At the centre, a smaller overhead map of the stone circle labels each season, locking the whole composition together like a compass rose.
Being circular rather than rectangular, there's no straight edge to anchor your build, which adds a layer of difficulty beyond the piece count. The stone textures are similar across all four sections, and the transitions between seasons are diagonal rather than square, so you can't easily isolate one quarter and work outward. Sort by colour mood first — the pink-and-gold summer sky is the most distinct place to start.
This is a licensed English Heritage puzzle from Gibsons, and it's a good one for anyone who's visited the site or has an interest in the British landscape through the year. The folk-art style keeps it lively without being fussy, and the finished circle looks rather good on a wall if you're inclined to frame it.
The circular format removes all straight edges, the sandstone textures repeat across four quadrants, and the diagonal season boundaries prevent easy section isolation.
