Memory of the Garden at Etten (Ladies of Arles), 1888 by Vincent Van Gogh – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Bluebird Puzzle)

Two women have stopped on the garden path to talk, shawls pulled close — one in red and orange, one in blue scattered with little red darts — and neither of them is looking where the other is looking. Across the orange path a third woman has bent right down over the flowers in her blue spotted dress and white bonnet, getting on with the job.

Van Gogh lays the whole garden in short jabs of colour: yellow dahlias, dark spiky bushes, beds curving away.
