Two women have sat down on the sand and the afternoon has stopped moving. One leans on her hand in profile, a white flower behind her ear and a yellow ribbon in her long hair, her red pareo printed all over with big white blooms.
The other sits square on in a soft pink dress, plaiting a length of orange palm fibre in her lap and looking away to one side. Between them on the sand lie a plaited straw disc and a single fallen flower.
