The Poppy Field – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Eurographics)

A woman comes down through the long grass with a parasol over her shoulder and a child beside her in a straw hat, the pair of them out for the afternoon in the poppies. Up at the top of the bank another woman and child are doing the same thing, small against the trees.

Monet has laid the poppies on in quick red dabs so the whole slope seems to move, with a huge summer sky of white cloud piled above the treeline.
