La Femme aux Arums, 1985 by Louis Toffoli – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Bluebird Puzzle)

A woman stands with an armful of arum lilies, gathered up and held close against a red skirt, her wide yellow hat tipped forward so that her face falls into shadow. The blue behind her is deep and warm, and everything is built from soft blocks of colour, the light laid on in chalky planes rather than lines.

Toffoli gives her no expression at all, and somehow she is still perfectly calm about the whole thing!
