The flower seller has an armful of arum lilies and not much room left to carry them. She holds the bunch up against her shawl, her straw hat tipped forward over her face, and the white trumpets lean out every which way.
Toffoli puts her against a deep red ground so the lilies come forward like lamps. You can almost hear her calling out her price!
