Delaunay spent the best part of twenty years on discs of colour, and this is one of the late ones. Concentric rings overlap right across the canvas in yellow, cobalt and rose, cut through by hard wedges of black and green wherever one circle crosses another. There is no subject here beyond the colour itself, which was rather the point.
Large flat areas of pure colour with clean edges between them. Finished size 69 x 48cm.
Broad areas of flat colour with few landmarks, so the curved edges where circles cross are what you sort by.
