A circular jigsaw with a deep red background, packed with British woodland creatures arranged in a wreath-like ring. A stag stands at the centre-left, a fox prowls the lower half, a hare races along the bottom, and a tawny owl surveys the right side. Tucked between them are a squirrel, a badger, a robin, and a fieldmouse, all threaded together with holly berries, rosehips, pears, apples, mushrooms, and snowberries.
The circular format is the main challenge here — without straight edges to anchor you, the build works from the inside out (or outside in). The rich crimson background that fills much of the lower half will keep you on your toes, but the strong contrast between the animals and the botanical details gives you plenty of natural sorting points. The botanical illustrative style is from The Art File, and it sits somewhere between a vintage natural history print and a modern gift card — the kind of image that looks just as good on the wall once you're done.
At 500 pieces it's a solid afternoon's work without being a week-long commitment, and the circular shape makes it a bit different to have out on the table.
The deep crimson background fills a large portion of the image with very similar tones, and the circular format removes all straight edges, making orientation and edge-finding significantly harder than a standard rectangular puzzle.
