A blue horse's head with a red eye emerges from a lattice of interlocking shapes — spirals, concentric circles, chevrons and wedges in red, cobalt, yellow and green. Starr Hardridge paints in tiny raised dots, so the whole surface reads as beadwork rather than brushwork.
The colour blocks are large enough to sort by, but they recur all over the board, so shape matters more than shade. Finished size 50.8 x 68.6cm.
Dense abstract shapes with swirling colours, no recognizable forms or clear orientation cues, making piece placement extremely difficult.
