No.3 Youth by Hilma af Klint - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Spirals and discs float on a flat orange ground: a big cream-and-yellow circle holding four petal shapes, a navy whorl, a black coil with a gold centre, and a cluster of small ovals in green, purple, red and blue, all strung together by thin white loops. Hilma af Klint painted it in 1907 as No. 3, Youth, from her series The Ten Largest.

That orange covers more of the board than anything else and carries no detail at all, so build the discs and work outwards. Finished size 50.8 x 68.6cm.
