A Trip to York - 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Falcon de luxe)

There is something genuinely special about this painting. Lisa Alderson has captured York at that perfect golden hour when the sky turns a deep, fiery orange behind the towers of York Minster, and the whole city seems to glow. It is one of those scenes you want to just sit and look at for a while before you even think about sorting the pieces.

The foreground is beautifully busy: a couple walking their dog, children running through a fountain, a cyclist weaving past, and the iconic red City Sightseeing hop-on hop-off bus parked up near the ancient stone gateway. Meanwhile, a bronze statue stands quietly watching it all, the De Grey Rooms lit up behind it. This is York as it really feels on a warm summer evening.

From a puzzling perspective, this one is going to keep you happily occupied. The rich, dramatic sky will be the real test: those swirling sunset tones blend beautifully but will need patience, while the cobbled square, stone walls, and crowd of figures give you plenty of satisfying detail to work through section by section.

A lovely tribute to one of England's most visited cities, and a fitting release to mark Falcon de Luxe's 50th anniversary. A brilliant gift for anyone who loves York, or simply a great puzzle for fans of atmospheric British scenes.
