Tom Thomson (Canadian, 1877–1917) Byng Inlet, Georgian Bay, 1914–1915 Tom Thomson, an avid outdoorsman and backcountry guide, had a brief but brilliant art career profoundly influenced by the Canadian landscape. Thomson loved exploring Ontario's north country, recording his impressions of the wilderness in small oil sketches full of vivid color and bold brushwork. The painting reproduced for this 500-piece puzzle is a stunning depiction of the water, land, trees, and sky of Byng Inlet. But it also captures a moment when we can practically feel and hear the wind.
