Bridal Veil Falls, Yosemite by Albert Bierstadt – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Grey granite walls close both sides of the Yosemite Valley, a thin white fall dropping down a dark cleft on the right. Albert Bierstadt filled the valley floor with dark pines and one leaning oak over dry gold meadow grass, then left the middle of the canvas to hazy blue sky. He painted it between 1871 and 1873.

That pale sky runs right across the centre with almost nothing in it, and the granite either side is a long grey gradient. Finished size 64 x 50cm.
