A woman in a gold-and-blue brocade gown holds a thin cane, a cheetah settled either side of her and a black panther watching over her shoulder. Olga Suvorova fills the rest with peacocks, hummingbirds, a magpie in her lap, delphiniums, irises, pink protea and roses, and a lake behind the cypresses.
The gold patterning on the gown is intricate enough to sort by; the flower bank around the edges is the slow work. Finished size 63.5 x 50.8cm.
