Endless Day by Naomi Okubo – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

A woman with a dark bob sits with her back to us, wrapped in layers of printed cloth — pink florals, orange, turquoise — in front of a red folding screen crowded with birds and blossom. Naomi Okubo fills everything else with more pattern still: a fringed rose tablecloth, a pink orchid in a gold pot, a latticed window and green leaves beyond it.

Nearly every piece carries a print of some kind and few of them repeat, so this one sorts by motif rather than by block of colour. Finished size 50.8 x 73.7cm.
