Dancer by Olga Suvorova – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)
A barefoot dancer in a jewelled turquoise bodice and a skirt panelled in gold, coral and blue holds a tambourine against a wall of red brocade. Olga Suvorova flanks her with two commedia dell'arte figures — a Pierrot in a white ruff with a lute and a caged canary, a harlequin in a red cap and diamond-patterned coat — and packs roses, irises and lupins around all three, with doves and a jay on the blue floor.
Pattern and texture everywhere give constant footholds; the red brocade behind the dancer is the one stretch that repeats. Finished size 68 x 51cm.
Richly detailed costumes with complex patterns, dense floral backgrounds, and similar warm red and gold tones throughout make piece differentiation challenging.
