Mary stands in crimson velvet with a jewelled gold panel down the front and a white dove settled on her hand, a wall of red roses behind her. Gabriel offers white lilies, a peacock wing sweeps teal and gold across the top corner, and two attendants play a wooden flute and a lute in brocade of turquoise and gold. Olga Suvorova painted it in 2015; irises and pansies run along the foot.
The costumes carry the detail, so it sorts by fabric rather than by shape: crimson velvet, gold embroidery, turquoise damask. Finished size 64 x 50cm.
Rich ornamental detail and varied textures in clothing, flowers, and wings provide many visual cues despite the dense composition.
