The Kiss by Gustav Klimt – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

The couple share one gold cloak, his half ruled into black and white rectangles, hers scattered with circles of red, magenta and blue flowers. Her head tips back with ivy in her hair and his hands at her face, and both kneel on a bank of violet and orange blooms at the edge of the gold. Klimt painted it in 1908 at the height of his gold period.

The bronze background behind them is a large flecked field with no shapes to hold on to, and the flower bank below is a mass of dots. Finished size 68 x 51cm.
