Two figures kneel at the very edge of a flowery meadow, wrapped together in one great gold robe, and he has taken her face in both hands to kiss her cheek. She has her eyes closed and her head tipped back, one hand curled around his.
Klimt gives him black and white rectangles and gives her circles and flowers, so the two patterns run into each other down the length of the gown. Behind them, nothing but gold.
