Paris Street; Rainy Day by Gustave Caillebotte – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

A couple share an umbrella on a wet Paris crossroads — his top hat and dark overcoat, her veiled hat and pearl earring — with a green cast-iron lamppost behind them, pale Haussmann blocks fading into the drizzle and a man pushing a red-wheeled handcart at the left. Gustave Caillebotte painted it in 1877.

The figures and shopfronts come together well before the road does: wet grey cobbles fill the bottom half of the picture. Finished size 63.5 x 50.8cm.
