An afternoon in the streets under Notre-Dame, with the cathedral's buttressed flank rising pale on the right and the rose window catching the light. Everything in front of it is the opposite: awnings, market stalls, flower boxes and a little teal car parked half on the kerb, all in colours the cathedral would not approve of.
Pale carved stone on one side against a riot of shopfront colour on the other. Finished size 69 x 48cm.
