One of the stone chimeras of Notre-Dame sits with his chin on his hands where he always sits, looking out over the whole of Paris while the sky turns pink behind him. The Seine slides under its bridge below, the quays are full of trees, and the Eiffel Tower is a thin grey needle away on the left.
He has had this view for a very long time and shows no sign of getting bored of it!
Wide panoramic format with distant cityscape details and a large area of similarly-toned rooftops makes piece placement challenging.
