The sun is going down over the harbour and the water has gone to copper and rose all the way out to the headland. Two sailing boats are still out on it, barely moving, while the little rowing boats knock together against the jetty in the foreground.
Lamps are lit along the old stone house on the left, roses climbing up past the shutters, and down on the terrace a table is laid with a red cloth and a bottle of wine, waiting.
Detailed architecture and boats provide good cues, but the expansive gradient sunset sky and water reflections add moderate challenge.
