Siilavut, Nunavut

A pale disc holds a crowd of arctic animals in black silhouette: an owl standing at the front, seals, a walrus, fish, a caribou and several birds, all overlapping. Inside the circle the ground shifts through pink, peach, blue and green; outside it a deep blue night sky with silver stars, a crescent moon and three brown planets above, and spiked yellow suns below.

The animals are solid black shapes and go in fast; the graded pastel behind them is the long stretch. Finished size 50.8 x 73.7cm.
