Charley Harper: Wings of the World - 300 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Birds from everywhere stacked into one shape: a pink flamingo curling right across the top, a toucan’s orange bill, a barn owl’s heart-shaped face, a peacock’s blue fan, a penguin and a brown kiwi standing at the bottom, and a vulture’s bald grey head pushing in at the right. Charley Harper cuts each one down to flat colour and a couple of lines, all set on cornflower blue with a few small clouds.

The blue sky is the hard part — wide, plain and everywhere — while the birds themselves fall into place on colour alone. Finished size 45.7 x 61cm.
