Glacier Bay, Alaska by Charley Harper – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

A humpback's black tail fluke fills the top half of the picture, streaming water, with a puffin dropping past it and icebergs and snow peaks beyond. Charley Harper lines up harbour seals below, whiskers crossed like stitches, then packs the base with black oystercatchers, a bear, a bald eagle and dark green ferns. It was painted for Glacier Bay National Park.

The fluke and the bright blue water are enormous flat areas broken only by fine ruled lines. Finished size 73.6 x 50.8cm.
