You are looking straight down at the water, where turquoise channels wind through sandbanks the colour of cream and old gold. One of them runs out into deep green sea at the right-hand edge, and every curve of it has been drawn by the tide.
Nothing here gives away the scale, no horizon, no sky, not a boat or a bird anywhere. From high above, a stretch of coast has quietly turned itself into a painting!
The abstract aerial perspective creates large areas of similar sandy tones, and the organic, flowing shapes of the waterways lack obvious edges or landmarks to guide placement.
