Prairie Meadow by Rosalind Wise – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Pale pink echinacea with dark red centres and drooping petals stand through a mass of blue-green grass, backed by yellow black-eyed Susans, orange spikes and small magenta flowers. Rosalind Wise painted it from the prairie meadow at the Royal Horticultural Society garden at Wisley in Surrey, and kept the sky down to a thin strip above a dark treeline.

The coneflowers give clear landmarks; the teal and blue-green grass that fills the rest is where the hours go. Finished size 51 x 68cm.
