A Sunday on La Grande Jatte by Georges Seurat – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Sunday on an island in the Seine: a woman with a bustle and a parasol, a monkey on a lead beside her, a man in a straw boater stretched out on the grass, a black dog nosing about, sailing boats on the water. Georges Seurat built the whole scene from dots of pure colour between 1884 and 1886.

Those dots leave no crisp lines to follow, and the sunlit lawn takes up half the picture — one for a long evening. Finished size 73.6 x 50.8cm.
