Tree of Life by Charley Harper – 500 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

A hundred creatures laid out on cream with no landscape between them — a red-headed woodpecker, a bulldog, a musk ox, a walrus, a porcupine, a mandrill, a platypus, a giraffe, a seahorse, an octopus, a scallop shell, a sand dollar, a toad, a fern, a palm and one golden pear. Charley Harper chose 102 plants and animals for this 1961 composition, down to a bacterium and a fungus.

At 500 pieces, with every creature a different shape and colour, the only slow part is the cream ground between them. Finished size 60.9 x 45.7cm.
