Roman Forum

The Forum at dusk, when the sky has gone deep blue and the floodlights come up under the stones. A row of tall columns still holds its broken entablature aloft, stumps of others march away in front of them, and behind it all a domed church and a bell tower catch the last warmth of the day.

Walk the gravel path at this hour and you would have most of it to yourself. Rome does put on a show!
