A spotted dog, a pink long-eared hound and a magenta fox with green eyes crowd the front of Roy De Forest's painting, alongside two round heads (one red and freckled, one magenta with blue eyes) under blue and gold orbs. Everything is laid on in thick dotted paint and threaded with speckled white branches.
The animal faces anchor it quickly; the mottled background of red, gold and green does not, and that is where the hours go. Finished size 50.8 x 73.7cm.
