The Twelve Days of Christmas x Two by Lori Schory - 1000 Piece Shaped Jigsaw Puzzle (Sunsout)

This one's a tree, quite literally – the puzzle itself is cut into the shape of a decorated Christmas tree, star and all, rather than a plain rectangle. Lori Schory has filled every branch with baubles depicting the Twelve Days of Christmas, from partridges and turtle doves to drummers and pipers, while the base is stacked with presents, a rocking horse and a Santa sack.

The twist is that each of the twelve gifts turns up twice somewhere in the picture, once on the tree and once underneath it, so there's a spot-the-difference game built into the build. Green foliage covers most of the piece, so it's worth sorting by the ornament colours and shapes rather than the background.

A good one to have on the table in the run-up to Christmas Day, when you want something festive-looking on the go as well as a proper occupation for idle hands.
