The globe at the top shows Santa's sleigh flying past a full moon, reindeer stretched out mid-gallop over a little snow-covered church and a snowman waving from the village below. It's the bottom half that takes the real concentration though — a snowdrift piled high with teddy bears, nutcrackers, poinsettias, wrapped gifts and a jolly snowman in a Santa hat, all spilling out from the base of the globe.

This one is cut to the shape of the snow globe itself rather than a standard rectangle, so the edges won't give you the usual straight-line start. Sunsout have hidden ten candy canes somewhere in the artwork by Lori Schory, which is a nice one to set as a challenge if you've got company at the table.

With so much going on in that bottom section — fur, ribbon, tinsel, wrapping paper all in reds and greens — it's a good slow-build for a few evenings over the festive period rather than an afternoon job.

About this puzzle

4/5
Hard

The densely packed collection of toys, ribbons and decorations in similar red and green tones at the base makes sorting tricky, though the night sky section is more straightforward.
