The Raven Addresses the Animals – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Vultures, tigers, a lion and a red stag crowd a pink rock face, a scarlet and green phoenix beats its wings against a lapis sky, and an elephant, fish and a turtle fill the foot of the picture. It is a Mughal court painting from around 1600, made as a book illustration, with dozens of creatures — some real, some not — all looking up at the raven perched above them.

Every animal is a landmark of its own, but the mottled pink rock running up the centre has almost nothing to hold onto. Finished size 68 x 51cm.
