Siri's Lilac by Deb Stoner – 1000 Piece Jigsaw Puzzle (Pomegranate)

Purple lilac, blue forget-me-nots, a dandelion clock still intact and fern fiddleheads curling open, all laid out on black. Deb Stoner builds her still lifes on a flatbed scanner rather than with a camera, so every hair on a stem and every seed on the clock is in focus at once; these plants came from the garden of her friend Siri Schillios.

The black ground is a large field of identical pieces and the greens repeat, so it pays to work outward from the flowers. Finished size 68 x 51cm.
