If you love a puzzle that looks absolutely stunning when it's finished, this one from Ravensburger's Neon collection is going to be hard to resist. The Los Angeles skyline is drenched in deep crimson and electric violet tones, with neon-lit skyscrapers cutting through a moody, cloud-streaked night sky. A crescent moon hangs above the central tower, and the long exposure light trails of traffic stretch down the road towards you — it's cinematic in every sense of the word.
What makes this image so striking is the contrast between the dark silhouetted treeline in the mid-ground and the blazing city lights behind it. The neon palette — all hot pinks, deep purples, and cold blue accents — gives the whole thing an almost synthwave, retro-futuristic feel, like something straight out of an 80s sci-fi film poster. Once complete, this would look genuinely brilliant framed on a wall.
At 500 pieces, it's a satisfying build that's achievable in an evening or two, but those large areas of deep red sky and similarly toned buildings will keep you on your toes. A great choice for city lovers, night owl puzzlers, or anyone who wants something a bit different from the usual countryside cottage.
Large areas of near-identical deep crimson sky and similarly dark-toned buildings with subtle neon colour shifts make sorting and placing pieces genuinely tricky, despite a central focal tower providing some orientation.
